West Loop runs from Grand Avenue on the north to I-290 on the south, and from Ashland/Ogden on the west to the Chicago River on the east.
West loop was originally factories, wholesale markets and warehouses but has since evolved. Still somewhat industrial, there are many new restaurants centered around Randolph Street and nearby Fulton Market.
